CLEO’S FINAL ISSUE WITH 1972 COVER OF JESINTA CAMPBELL
After 44 years in print, the final-ever issue of Cleo magazine hits stands on Monday.
As such a big part of the Aussie mag landscape for so many years (come on, who hasn’t read one? Sealed section, hellooooo), the final cover was always going to be memorable – and it’s now been revealed, CLEO’S FINAL ISSUE WITH 1972 COVER OF JESINTA CAMPBELL.
Starring Jesinta Campbell, the March cover is a recreation of the mag’s first-ever cover, from way back in 1972. The sole cover line reads: “We farewell 44 years of sass, bachelors, sex and centerfolds”.
Bidding a very fond farewell to 44yrs of #CLEO tonight with fellow former editors @miafreedman @paulajoye and the legend herself, founding editor #ItaButtrose…along with more than 100 of those who worked on this iconic Aussie title across the decades. So proud to have called Cleo home for 10 wonderful years…and grateful for the many friendships I still hold dear. Vale. PS. And a big thank you to Roxy, Rachael & the team at @sweatybettypr and @thewoollahrahotel for making sure we all saw the old girl off in style…
